Whimsical Fairyland – Rachel + Jesse – Deux Belettes Wedding

Nestled in the lush Byron Bay hinterland, you’ll find the breathtaking French chateau Deux Belettes. With iconic cobblestone pathways, arched walkways and sprawling gardens, this enchanting Byron Bay venue is one of our favourite places to create magic for our couples.

Our sweet couple Rachel and Jesse immediately fell in love with Deux Belettes, perfectly complementing their vision for a whimsical fairyland-inspired wedding. Our brief was to create an unforgettable guest experience with thoughtful touches, romantic styling, delicate garden flowers and statement lighting.

We opted for a pretty colour palette of blush, lilac and apricot, tied together with pops of vibrant yellow and plenty of lush greenery. An intimate ceremony was styled in the Deux Belettes courtyard, surrounded by earthy stone walls and towering cypress trees. We paired whitewashed rattan chairs with a lush floral backdrop spilling with colourful blooms and textural foliage, creating a natural backdrop for Rachel and Jesse’s nuptials.

Following a love-filled ceremony, guests feasted on a European-inspired grazing table and enjoyed cocktail hour amongst the stunning surrounds of the venue. We incorporated a number of thoughtful styling touches for guests to enjoy – creating a beautiful photo moment with floral garlands winding around a wooden swing, and a sweet seating chart using a vintage window pane. Rachel and Jesse also shared a love for magnolias, so we made sure to incorporate subtle elements of magnolia throughout their stationery and styling details.

A dreamy reception was styled underneath a Sperry Tent in the Deux Belettes garden, with guests making their way through a magical pathway of fairy lights to enter. We created a soft, romantic vibe in the tent using round tables draped with oatmeal linen cloths, large floral centrepieces and scattered pillar candles. Guests enjoyed a spectacular meal underneath a canopy of twinkling fairy lights, with every last detail meticulously planned and thoughtfully considered to create a memorable dining experience.
