Wow, what a wedding! To the wonderful people at The Events Lounge, and you, Rach, in particular, thank you for making our dream day a dream come true! No words can describe how happy you made us on our special day and our recovery party. You all are really so amazing, and we could not have done it without you.
Considering we don’t live in Byron, you seemed to completely understand our vision and hit our brief out of the park, no detail was spared and the success of the day (and all of our friends not wanting to have a wedding now after our wedding – I mean what could proceed that!) just shows how incredible you all are.
The work you did considering the conditions were tricky (I still can’t get over we were almost evacuated!!) was seamless. What you did with our Recovery too was so awesome. We really appreciate the effort you put in for us, considering you stayed overnight in Byron too. It would have been a big weekend! We will never, ever forget how hard you guys worked for us and how much joy you brought to us and our guests over our wedding weekend.
You and the team made the whole planning process a breeze and you kept us happy, ecstatic, elated and excited through the whole time, no Bridezilla or Groomzilla came out.
You are beyond amazing, THANK YOU! If we ever hear of anyone else getting married in Byron Bay or GC, we will direct them straight to you.

We booked the Full Shebang package with The Events Lounge. The planning process was so much fun! We really loved our meetings with Rach. She instantly made us feel like we’ve known her for years. Rach really understood our vision and made our dream wedding come to life.

I have followed The Events Lounge for many years , and when it came time to plan our wedding, I knew there was only one person that I wanted to plan our wedding – Rachael (and her amazing team).
It was a pleasure working with Rachael over the last two years to bring our dream wedding to life. No question or idea was ever too much, and the result exceeded all our expectations!
On the day, we felt so comfortable and relaxed knowing that she had everything under control. This meant we were able to truly enjoy every part of the day and night.
Our guests are still talking about our wedding and have continually said that it is the best wedding they have attended. We had a picture in our minds of a romantic fairy tale wedding. Never in our dreams did we think that the reality of our day would exceed that of our expectations.
Every single guest commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended.
Every last detail was perfect and the seamless flow of the day ensured that the timing for everything was just perfect.
The design and set up was intimate and luxurious. Everything was 5 star and a day that we will never forget. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it!

Rachael came highly regarded to me by a friend who is a well known wedding celebrant in the area – she’d worked with her on many weddings and said she was the perfect fit for me. Gentle, organised with impeccable style and time management. Even though we planned a very low key, ambient picnic dinner-party style wedding – we told Rachael I’d still need the works-burger of wedding planners, because I wasn’t just time poor, I was time-impoverished. Rachael was our angel. She brought all my ideas to life in the most magical of ways. During the planning phase she asked just the right questions, only when they needed to be asked.
I always felt completely safe, and in more than capable hands. She did indeed have impeccable style, time management as well as foresight and an instinct for exactly what we wanted. She read our minds on most occasions. On the wedding day she was like an angel that kept everyone calm and joyful. She even attended to my elderly Father in law who was unwell, always taking care he felt comfortable.
She and her team expertly negotiated multiple suppliers and the whole wedding weekend went as smoothly as we could have dreamed. I can honestly say she is the wedding planner of all wedding planners – she created a day that Johnny and I honestly gushed was ‘the best day of our lives’.

OH EM GEE! Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true!
Once we were engaged, we simply knew we both did not have the time to organise the wedding we desired, nor did we know where to begin when we were planning a wedding in a state we didn’t live in. Naturally, we were recommended The Events Lounge Team by a colleague. We met with Rach and we adored her from the start. She was one cool cucumber and we knew that was exactly the type of person we needed. She listened and understood both of our personalities to ensure that our dreams and styles were combined into one. We expressed our absolute fantasy wedding – and surely, that’s exactly what we got. The planning process was clear, professional, detailed and calm. Leading up to the event we had a few minor external dramas (council cancelled venue), however, we didn’t lose a night’s sleep knowing we had Rachael to direct us to the best outcomes. She gave us the ultimate options in suppliers to ensure we got what we required. Communication was excellent, we received regular updates, we could call anytime or catch up to go over any concerns. When it came to the day – we were blown away! Detail, detail, detail!
There is honestly not one single thing we would have changed on the day, it is better than what we had even dreamt of. Thank you from the bottom of ours hearts for everything – you really out did yourself.

I called upon the help of Rachael and her team after coming HIGHLY recommended from good friends of mine. I was also fortunate enough to attend a wedding she looked after so had already seen first hand her wonderful work. With only 2 weeks of notice and a very blank canvas of a corporate venue, Rachael organised everything from top to bottom. Nothing was too much trouble and our event was spectacular. It not only looked amazing, but most importantly I was completely comforted that everything was under control at all times.

You handled the change of venue (amidst your busiest time of year) with no hassles. In the end everything happens for a reason and our new venue was so special and totally meant to be!

We couldn’t recommend Rach and The Events Lounge more! People often ask us whether having an event’s planner was worth it, we reply telling everyone… having Rach was the best money we spent on our wedding, hands down. She took care of absolutely everything. The process was so stress free, which is exactly how we wanted it. Your wedding day should be relaxing, fun and enjoyable…our wedding day was that and more, and I have no doubt that’s because we had Rach there from day one. From putting out spot fires with family members, to finding a port-a-loo on the morning of our wedding, from nailing our style, to having a glass from champagne ready for us at the end of the aisle, she is simply worth her weight in gold! That is not an understatement!
She made us feel like our wedding was her highest priority and that we were in safe hands throughout the entire process, which we were. We live in Sydney but got married in Byron Bay. It could have been a recipe for disaster. Not with Rach steering the ship!
We loved that Rach was so easy to talk too, was so easy to contact, and always had time for us. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to Rach. She is unbelievably organised, unbelievably thorough, and unbelievably caring. All the qualities we want from someone who is alongside you for the biggest day of your life. The decision to get married in Byron Bay was the easy part. Being from Melbourne we knew we needed a team to execute our vision on the day that we trusted, that lived locally and that had a reputation with other local suppliers. We knew that Rachael and the team at The Events Lounge were the best fit for us the second we met with them. Easygoing, detail oriented, communicative and beyond creative was the approach from the team throughout the planning and execution on the day. They created a whimsical, fantasy-filled fiesta that left our guests jaw to the floor and a smile from ear to ear on both bride and groom. We just want to do it again and again! We seriously couldn’t have imagined a better wedding day, but this all came together thanks to Rach and her amazing team.
From our first time meeting Rach at the viewing of what was to become our wedding venue, to her being there on our wedding day, the entire process ran so seamlessly.
We had more of an idea of what we wanted to avoid for our wedding day rather than knowing exactly what we wanted. Rach took everything we mentioned to her and was able to develop the most amazing day for us. From the furniture, the food and drinks, the lighting, the ceremony and all of the smaller details in between we really couldn’t have been happier.
Ever since the wedding day, our guests have continually said this was the best wedding they have ever attended and this is seriously down to the hard work and concepts created by Rach and her amazing team at The Events Lounge.

Rachel and the Events Lounge Team were the most amazing group to have behind our wedding. They understood the style and atmosphere that we wanted straight away and put together an event that absolutely blew us away. No words will ever be able to express how grateful we are that we had Rachael and her team to help pull our day together! Being from the Northern Territory and getting married in QLD, we knew from the beginning we would need a helping hand but felt unsure about asking for help from someone who we couldn’t meet face to face regularly. From the first tea, I shared with Rachael I knew she was the perfect fit. She too is a perfectionist, and a hugger.
Matt and I wanted an intimate, romantic, bohemian garden style wedding where everyone could relax and enjoy themselves. From the welcome drinks on arrival to dancing our hearts out under the tipi our Wedding was perfect! And exceeded all expectations.
Rach we cannot thankyou enough, you were a much needed calming influence from the start, always warm and genuine. Your attention to detail is like nothing else and you pour so much love into every event you create. Your timing was impeccable, and the communication on the day insured our wedding went off without a hitch.

When Ted and I became engaged I was already feeling overwhelmed between full-time work and completing my university degree full-time so I knew I couldn’t organise a wedding without any help. I had previously attended a family wedding where I knew The Events Lounge’s services where used and I was in such awe with the beauty of the event, I knew I didn’t want any one else to look after our special day. It was such a pleasure to experience the planning journey with Rachael’s brilliantly creative mind as well as her extremely useful supply of vendors who created our dreams into a reality. It wasn’t without stress, which I now know all weddings experience due to the complexity of bringing so many factors together into one day however Rachael and her team handled them like absolute professionals which enabled me to enjoy the entire process regardless. Reliving the photos of the day is such a treat – I still have a big smile appear whenever I see The Events Lounge or another bridal account feature our wedding details on their Instagram page! We cannot thank The Events Lounge enough for all of their efforts, their planning process is so detailed with fantastic planning tools where we felt comfortably guided throughout the entire time whislt still maintaining our individual sense of style. We honestly can’t thank the beautiful Rachael from The Events Lounge enough. The thought of planning a wedding was already daunting but when trying to organise it from across the country it become seemingly impossible. Nothing was ever too hard or out of reach, speaking with Rachael was like bouncing ideas of your best friend. Her ability to decipher all my ever changing ideas, bring us together with the best suppliers who aligned perfectly with our vision while also keeping our costs where we needed them was second to none. On the day everything came together perfectly, better than we could ever have imagined. From the time we woke up till the time we went to bed we were able to just be in the moment as the whole day ran without a hitch and for that we will be forever grateful. Ourselves and our guests were able to enjoy such a beautiful and memorable day which is so much attributed to Rachael and her endless work to create the day that we envisioned. Rachael you truly are one in a million, thank you for everything!

Originally we hadn’t planned to use a wedding planner at all. However as I began to list all the things we needed to organize, I realized it would not be an easy job! The main question that kept coming up was, how will we co-ordinate the day and enjoy it at the same time? Though our wedding was on one property, we had four different locations to visit. In all honesty, it would have been impossible for us to co-ordinate the day without The Events Lounge. It was so great that we, as well as our parents could relax on the day without having to think about who was going to gather the guests and direct them to the next location. After meeting with Rachael and discussing the styling of the wedding, I also realized I was no expert when it came to organizing the vendors! After I showed her only a few pictures of what I was looking for, she automatically understood and every option she showed me from that moment on fit my vision perfectly. It was so great knowing Rachael was there at anytime to answer questions that no one else could. She went out of her way to make our day special, helping us with minor details that weren’t even in her job description! I can honestly look back on our day and say not one thing went wrong. In truth, of course minor things went wrong, but Rachael was there to save the day- we just didn’t know!

Me and Marty always knew we wanted our wedding to be special – filled with love, laughter and dancing. We had such a united view on the feeling we wanted to create and we really wanted our day to be personalised and reflect who we are as a couple.
Once I started looking into planning our day, I knew I needed help – I really had no idea where to start. The ideas were forming, but I needed someone to bring them to life. This is where Rachael came in. From the moment we met her, we knew she was the event planner we needed. As someone who has been involved in the wedding industry in earlier parts of my career, I knew how stressful planning a wedding could be. I knew that I had extremely high expectations and wanted to have the ‘perfect day’. I thought finding a good planner in Byron Bay would be hard so I asked around all of the potential wedding venues who they would recommend – Rachael at The Events Lounge was the first name I was given by 80% of the people I spoke to.
My initial concerns of finding someone who would understand what I wanted were quickly eliminated in my first phone call to Rachael. From the very first conversation through to well after the wedding I always felt like I was Rachael’s number one priority, nothing was ever too much trouble. Rachael was always there to listen to me, give me advice and keep me calm – the year we spent planning our wedding was one of the most enjoyable and stress-free times in my life.
The amount of research Rachael would do for every idea I would come up with was crazy, I am not quite sure when she sleeps! All I know is that over time she managed to pull together and coordinate 35 suppliers to build, decorate, cater, transport, accommodate and perform for our dream wedding. I cannot thank Rach and her team at The Events Lounge enough for everything that lead up to and included our wedding day, It was absolutely the best day of our lives and I know that we can thank Rachael for all of it.

Our wedding was possibly on the worst weather day of the year. It was windy, raining and then the floods came to join us. I have not worked with such a more beautiful and experienced team. They handled all our issues with calm, ease and got the job done. I feel extremely lucky to have found The Events Lounge to help me plan and deliver our wedding. One of our big goals were ‘ guest satisfaction’. From the feedback, compliments and thank you’s we have received. It truly shows that we ticked off that goal! We nicknamed Rach, our “Wedding Fairy Godmother”, because she is absolutely magical and amazing! From the first day we met, we just clicked. Rach has such a beautiful presence, she is calm, creative, has a great sense of humour and you can truly see her passion and love for what she does.
