Spotlight Awards Dinner 2022 – Corporate Event Styling – Novotel Twin Waters

Bringing brands to life and creating memorable event experiences is what we do best. We were recently lucky enough to work with Spotlight on their annual awards night event, and loved every moment of designing this show-stopping corporate celebration.

We adore working with the Spotlight team (see their previous awards dinner here!) and always have so much fun with the creative process. This year, we were tasked with designing their awards night and farewell dinner as part of their 3 day conference at Novotel Twin Waters.

With 350 guests travelling from across Australia to attend this Sunshine Coast conference, we wanted to do something a little different with an unexpected event theme that would leave a lasting impression. Instead of opting for a typical “tropical QLD” vibe, we decided to create an underground jazz club concept complete with bright neons, rich berry tones and moody dark accents.

We set the scene with some statement neon signage and paired round clothed tables with an eclectic mix of chairs in black and velvet pink. Tablescapes were styled with bunches of colourful blooms in pink pots, gold cutlery and black napkins, sitting underneath dramatic crystal chandeliers and LED lighting. A spectacular bar area was created using an oversized floral arch, while a jazz band took the stage to provide entertainment for guests. The space was fun, bold and filled with unexpected details at every turn – setting the perfect vibe for a memorable end-of-year celebration.

For the farewell party, we decided to create a coachella-themed festival (dubbed Spotchella) by converting an AFL field into an immersive festival experience, complete with Sperry tents, fire dancers, stilt walkers, tarot card readers, glitter make-up stations and an abundance of entertainment for guests to enjoy. Sadly, we don’t have photos to share of this portion of the event – but believe us when we say it was an unforgettable day of festivities!
