Pairing modern luxe styling with panoramic ocean views, Nicole and Andy’s elegant Rick Shores wedding was the epitome of coastal elegance! These two sweet souls booked us just before Covid hit, which led to a number of date and venue changes leading up to their nuptials. Despite all of these changes, Nicole and Andy remained incredibly relaxed throughout the entire process and were an absolute dream to work with.
The final venue (award-winning Gold Coast restaurant, Rick Shores) ended up becoming the perfect backdrop for their celebration, in prime position overlooking the azure blue waters of Burleigh Beach. Nicole and Andy wanted to transform the restaurant into something that didn’t feel like a normal weekend lunch – instead, they wanted to wow their guests with an unforgettable experience that felt special, luxurious and like them.
We designed their day around a timeless neutral palette of crisp whites, greens and timbers, with a subtle hint of soft blue to tie everything together. Nicole and Andy exchanged vows in an oceanfront ceremony against a lush floral backdrop, surrounded by potted palms and tropical plants for a modern coastal vibe and white parasols for their loved ones.
For the reception, we completely emptied the venue – hiring removalists to take all of the existing furniture out, and replacing it with an elegant mix of white clothed tables, upholstered timber chairs and timeless dinnerware. We were unable to hang anything from the ceiling, so we had arches custom-made for our floral arrangements and lighting – creating an indoor oasis filled with flowers, luxurious crystal chandeliers and beautiful styling elements.
From the carefully curated tablescapes (including gold-rim plates, crystal glassware and linen napkins) to the personalised neon signage, statement cake and soft blue stationery, we are absolutely in love with how all of the pretty details came together for Nicole and Andy’s perfect beachfront day.
