Naming Ceremony – Hazel + Georgia – The Lussh, Brisbane Event Styling

There is no greater compliment than having past clients approach us to work together again! We first met Krystle and Doug 10 years ago when planning their Byron Bay wedding and absolutely adored working together – so, when they asked us to design a naming ceremony for their twin daughters Hazel and Georgia, we couldn’t have been more excited.

This non-religious naming ceremony was the perfect opportunity to get friends and family together for an afternoon of celebrations, so we set out to create something that would be equally as beautiful (and fun!) for both the kids and adults. Set at dreamy events venue The Lussh in Brisbane, we opted for a feminine colour palette with vibrant pops of pink, apricot and coral, elevated with crisp white and gold details.

Our challenge was to create a cohesive indoor-outdoor flow between the kids play area and the adults dining setting, ensuring both spaces worked harmoniously together. For the ceremony itself, we paired dusty-pink velvet chairs with a custom white arch and vibrant blooms spilling from clear acrylic plinths, set against a rugged cliff backdrop. Then, out on the lawn, we created a sweet picnic-style setting underneath pink striped umbrellas and festoon strings – adorning the tables with whimsical fairy decorations to add a sense of magic and fun for the little ones! 

Inside the incredible Lussh dining room, we styled long tables dressed with oatmeal linens – sitting pretty underneath a statement floral chandelier filled with fluffy hydrangeas, pink peonies and textural foliage. Tablescapes were vibrant yet refined, using a mix of gold cutlery, mustard napkins and crystal cut glassware to create elegant place settings. Of course, there was plenty of entertainment to keep the kids busy outside while the adults wined and dined – including hula hooping, a gelato cart and a play gym against an epic balloon backdrop.

We absolutely adored transforming this blank canvas Brisbane venue into a fabulous afternoon filled with fun, magic and colour. Most of all, we loved reconnecting with Krystle and Doug and bringing their loved ones together to celebrate Hazel, Georgia and their beautiful family.
