Hinterland Romance – Anabela + Mathias – The Orchard Estate Wedding

Inspired by romantic styling, native flowers and the natural beauty of Northern NSW, our sweet couple Anabela and Mathias wanted to create a memorable destination wedding that captured the essence of Byron Bay.

Surrounded by an abundance of lush hinterland at The Orchard Estate, we designed a concept that combined elegant details with modern bohemian styling and a rich, earthy palette. Taking place on a perfect spring day, we styled a simple ceremony in the orchard underneath a natural archway as Anabela and Mathias exchanged vows amongst sun-soaked foliage.

While the newlyweds snuck away for portraits in the garden, guests enjoyed grazing platters and celebratory drinks on the lawn. We designed a relaxed outdoor space using rattan lounges, velvet cushions, linen bean bags and layered textiles, set underneath a naked tipi wrapped in fairy lights and foliage.

Inside the barn, we styled an intimate seated reception with a focus on elegant tableware and spectacular floral details, incorporating an eclectic mix of timbers, greenery and native blooms with pops of burgundy, emerald and blush. Long wooden tables and oak cross back chairs created an earthy bohemian look, while tablescapes were styled with gold beaded charger plates, charcoal linen napkins, scattered candles and hand-blown amber glassware. Hanging floral installations and strings of fairy lights created a luxe canopy above, while a sweetheart table was paired with peacock chairs and Moroccan rugs to add warmth and texture.
