Classic Romance – Anna + Jack – Private Property, Gold Coast Wedding

Working with genuinely lovely couples is something we never take for granted – and Anna and Jack were absolutely no exception. We adored creating magic for this beautiful couple and working alongside their entire family to design this classic, romantic Gold Coast wedding.

Anna and Jack’s original venue was sadly shut down, so the decision was made to relocate their wedding to their family holiday home at Bilinga – a hugely sentimental space for Anna and her family, particularly her mum who spent her holidays growing up there. We always love working in spaces with a family connection, which made this celebration all the more special.

The brief for the day was to create a timeless, romantic vibe – something that felt like a wedding, not a backyard party, with a modern and fun atmosphere. With such a stunning space to as our backdrop, we also wanted to design something that really complemented the house and felt like it belonged there.

Following Anna and Jack’s beautiful ceremony at St. Augustine’s Church, guests arrived at the house for cocktails and canapes on the lawn, styled with a mix of high bars, comfortable lounge areas, and lush grazing tables. We then led guests down a little pathway into the neighbouring block for the reception, set underneath a spacious Sperry tent filled with twinkling fairy lights, glowing candles and dreamy florals.

Tablescapes were kept minimal and elegant, using a timeless colour palette of creamy whites, soft greys and fresh greenery. The space was elevated with quality touches including crystal glassware, gold cutlery, ceramic plates and personalised place cards, creating a classically romantic setting. Then, while guests were dining, we reset the canape space – ready for guests to enjoy an epic night of live music and dancing (complete with disco balls and cowboy hats). What a vibe!
