Turkish Wonderland – Ellie + Alex – The Orchard Estate Wedding

Working alongside our sweet couple Ellie and Alex was an absolute and utter delight. Not only were these two so genuinely lovely and down to earth; they also shared a wedding vision imbued with creativity, authenticity and meaningful details that truly reflected their relationship.

Inspired by a memorable trip to Cappadocia in Turkey, Ellie (nutritionist and best-selling author behind @elsaswholesomelife) and Alex wanted to create a wildly romantic bohemian celebration packed with deep jewel tones, statement florals and rich textural styling. Nestled in the peaceful hills of Byron Bay, The Orchard Estate was the perfect blank canvas to bring their colourful celebration to life.

These two exchanged their vows underneath a giant fig; our Ellie an absolute vision in Rue De Seine with her girls by her side in Spell. Surrounded by lush macadamia trees, we styled their intimate outdoor ceremony with an abundance of wild grasses, textured rugs and berry-toned blooms.

Out on the lawn, we used a mix of layered textiles, intricate styling details and pops of burnt orange, dusty pink, burgundy and bronze to create a Turkish-inspired wonderland. A plethora of comfortable rattan lounges, leather ottomans, low feasting tables and plush cushions were scattered underneath naked tipis and strings of festoons, all tied together with wild bohemian flowers and feathery foliage.

With Ellie’s passion for plant-based food and wholesome living, this party wouldn’t be complete without an incredible spread of vegan delights, colourful platters and banquet-style catering for guests to devour throughout the evening. And our sweetest memory from the day? Setting up a private table for Ellie and Alex to sneak away and enjoy a sunset dinner for two while watching their loved ones celebrating from afar.
