Design + Styling Support | What to Expect

Our sincerest thanks for inviting us to be a part of this exciting journey with you. We are delighted to be working with you both.

Below is what you can expect over the coming months as we work with you to design, personalise + create your wedding day vision.

Initial Meeting | This meeting usually takes 1-1.5 hours.

We will get together in person or via skype to discuss your styling inspiration and your wedding day vision. Please bring with you any styling inspiration and images that will allow us to gain an insight into who you BOTH are and what you love – from wedding loves to interior design, prints, your favourite books, places, magazines or movies. Include quirky items you may randomly collect or things you are passionate about. Ask the groom to make us a little Pinterest board if you can so we can include his style and passions in the process too. The more information we have the better able we are to create something personal for you!

Wedding Brief Creation 

Post meeting, we will use all the inspiration provided + items brainstormed to create your personalised and custom designed Wedding Brief. This is a mood board concept that will include 4 pages – ceremony, canapés, reception + inspiration. The images chosen will be picked based on the overall mood of your day and are not detail specific at this stage. They are used as a guide to ensure we are aligned on what your overall vision and mood is and to send to potential suppliers to ensure your supplier team selected have the same wedding vision moving forward.

Debrief | via phone

Once we have sent you the design brief we would love to catch up for a quick chat over the phone to discuss the Wedding Brief, what you love and how we move forward.

Sourcing + Costing

Our team will then collate sourcing availability and pricing for the most suitable suppliers based on your personal style + budget. The key components that will be looked into + compiled into a master budget are:

  • Marquee Hire
  • Ceremony Décor Hire (chairs, arbour, signing table)
  • Reception Tables + Chairs
  • Lighting Options
  • Stationery Designs
  • Dancing Area
  • Wedding Cake
  • Florists
  • Linen {if required}
  • Signage
  • Additional Decor

In most cases 2-3 suppliers will be recommended to you for each element. Pricing and details will be collated in the budget spreadsheet for your review.

Supplier Bookings  

Once you have both reviewed the details and confirmed which suppliers from our list you are happy to go ahead with we will then start locking in the details. Deposit invoice details will be sent to you for payment.

Site Inspection {shortly after confirmation of supplier bookings | in person} 


We will meet at the venue and do a walk through of all the various styling details together. At this stage we will also start working on your floor plan details and any gaps that may need to be finalised. 
At this meeting, key suppliers may choose to attend to finalise details.

Redefined Design + Final Sign Off

Our final décor + styling spreadsheet will be sent through for final review. All final hire and design elements will be finalised. Menus, seating charts, name card details and bar signage are to be provided by the Bride + Groom for the graphic design team to finalise artworks.

All final confirmations will be sent to suppliers to lock in all aspects and delivery and pick up of all décor items will be scheduled.

Wedding Day + Set Up


The Events Lounge team 2 staff will be on site the day of the wedding to ensure the setup of all the various styled elements as per our detailed conversations and floor plans!
