How would you describe your style?  Relaxed, natural, authentic, heartfelt, funny and fun.

How do you connect with your couples?  I connect with my couples by having a chat.  Where possible, I catch up with my couples for a one hour meeting to plan the ceremony, and at that meeting I have a series of very simple questions I ask (how did you meet, will you have a bridal party, is there a live musician etc).  The questions are all simple to answer, I don’t put people on the spot and ask, “what’s the best thing your partner does…?”.  I’m not great at answering emotional questions off the cuff, so I don’t put other people in that position!  I collect all my logistical information which gives me a very clear idea of the type of ceremony they want, and then I go away and write the first draft and then I set some task for them to get some emotional content which gets added in later.

Do you write the ceremony wording with your couples?  Yes. I write the ceremony, send them a draft and we edit together.

Do you provide all equipment?  I provide a PA and a mic which suits an outdoor ceremony for at least 130. Larger weddings need to supply their own PA.

Is your equipment battery operated or do you require power?  Battery.

Are you happy for music to be played through your PA?  Yes.

Do you charge travel fees? I generally only perform ceremonies in Byron Bay. Travel fees are calculated per mileage if I do take on a wedding outside of Byron.

Do you do multiple weddings on one day? Yes. But not often, as I don’t like to.   I always negotiate with the couple who booked first if I do.

How would you describe your style? My style is warm, friendly and adaptable to my couples ceremony preferences.

How do you connect with your couples? Initial meeting is over Skype or in person, which is a great way for the couple to feel whether I am right for them and vice versa!  A second meeting is at rehearsal stage and then again of course on the day of the wedding.  Unlimited phone and email conversations happen to ensure any questions can be answered quickly.

Do you write the ceremony wording with your couples?  I gather information just by spending time at the initial planning meeting.  I don’t offer ceremonies that are pre-written – I develop a bespoke ceremony for each couple after meeting with them to ensure it reflects their personality and relationship.

Do you provide all equipment? A PA system, stand, wireless microphone, Swarovsky crystal signing pen and cable to connect ceremony music is all provided.  A wind sock is also always used to ensure the PA system is loud and clear no matter the weather or wind!

Is your equipment battery operated or do you require power?  Battery operated – no need for leads and my PA will work anywhere, even on the beach.  The microphone is fitted with a wind sock to ensure the PA system is loud and clear no matter the weather or wind!

Are you happy for music to be played through your PA?  Yes, of course!

Do you charge travel fees?  No.

Do you do multiple weddings on one day?  Only on the odd occasion.  For example a sunrise wedding and then a 3pm wedding on the same day would be something I would consider.  Otherwise I no longer accept a second wedding if I am booked for a date.

How would you describe your style?  Oh I am terrible at this question, I would just say an awkward man who still feels 15 years old. But I guess my style is modern and changes depending on the couple, my style should fit the couples style….if that makes sense??

How do you connect with your couples? Mainly by asking them questions and then shutting up to let them answer and say as much as they can. Just simple conversation gets you all the info you need!

Do you write the ceremony wording with your couples? In a way yes, I mean I get all my info form the conversations we have. I find it’s the best way to get honest answers. Couples don’t have time to fill out questionnaires about their relationship and if they do they will only be brief, so I just take a lot of notes and then try to read my handwriting and put it all together (I actually have amazing handwriting)

Do you provide all equipment?  I provide a PA, all the fun paperwork and a bunch of pens that work and are easy to use. Plus I usually have had a haircut.

Is your equipment battery operated or do you require power? Ain’t no powerpoints on a beach so it’s batteries all the way!

Are you happy for music to be played through your PA?  I do it 99% of the time, no one will play the music better or at the right time more than the guy who is working and that is me. I also have the music on two different devices because I am a freak.

Do you charge travel fees?  Yeah I do, sorry….all that stuff is HERE

Do you do multiple weddings on one day?  Very rarely…only if I have hours between each one. I do so much running around at a wedding that to have the stress of another would be too much. Weddings run late and because I stick aorund to make sure couples are on time I end up being there for ages.

How would you describe your style? Authentic, warm, creative and down to earth.

How do you connect with your couples?  I love a chat! When I meet with couples to fill out the required legal forms I get to know them and their story. I also send them a questionnaire on each other to get deeper insight and information on who they are as a couple and why they’re getting married and use these answers to create a personal and unique ceremony.

Do you write the ceremony wording with your couples?  Absolutely – I see it as a collaboration.

Do you provide all equipment?  Yes – I have a PA and microphone.

Is your equipment battery operated or do you require power?  Battery operated.

Are you happy for music to be played through your PA?  Yes.

Do you charge travel fees? I’m based in the Gold Coast and charge a modest travel free to areas outside there.

Do you do multiple weddings on one day? No.

How would you describe your style? My style is fun, warm, romantic and the best way to kick start your wedding day experience!! I truly do love my job and love to celebrate in the couples’  style and vibe. I am here to help create the ceremony without the boredom factor. I dig creating awesome and authentic wedding ceremonies and am blessed to do this as my full time gig!

How do you connect with your couples?  I first meet with my couples over a coffee or via a Skype/ FaceTime chat. With most of my clients being from interstate locations, we usually chat online ad then meet in person at a later date.

Do you write the ceremony wording with your couples?  Each and every ceremony that I create is custom to the couple, there’s no other path to take. I supply my couples with a short Questionnaire and with the notes from our meeting, create a ceremony in the couples language and send that through for them to check out.

Do you provide all equipment?  I have an awesome PA that can rock out wedding with up to 150 guests. It’s so important for the guests in the back row to hear all of the ceremony, as it is for the front row VIP’s too. My microphone Bluetooth’s to my system, which avoids any interference with any other wireless frequency.

Is your equipment battery operated or do you require power?  My PA is battery powered, no need for power.

Are you happy for music to be played through your PA? Yes, I’m definitely happy for the ceremony music to be played through my PA. I generally control the music through the couples personal phone, which I Bluetooth to my PA. That way the whole operation is smooth and professional.

Do you charge travel fees?  My fee includes travel from Byron Bay & the hinterland area, to the southern Gold Coast. I’m not interested in travelling any further than these locations.

Do you do multiple weddings on one day? Yes, if time permits I will perform multiple weddings on the one day. Generally the ceremony start times will be 2 hours apart in this case, allowing for any complications on the bride arriving, weather and any other unforeseen issues. Generally, when someone as awesome as The Events Lounge is running the show, it all runs to schedule.
